14July is a big holiday for France and the national day of the French Republic.

At Lectoure

Also Lectoure celebrates the occasion with a party. People meet on the bastion in front of the Cathedral together to eat. Various associations offer meals and drinks. Everybody takes the time to discuss with theneighbors. People gather around 23.00 o'clock on the wall to the valley. With the last stroke of the belltower the night turns into day. A great fireworks announces the completion of the national holiday. But it's not over yet. Who still wants to continue partying with the French can dance until the morning comes.
